Raw food in the tropics

I'm thinking about raw food diet for my kittens. The thing is I am not sure how safe raw food is in the tropics (SE Asia).

The chickens are injected with antibiotics and growth hormones and the meat source - I don't know. But it is likely the cows and goats get similar treatment. Organic raw meat is available but it is too expensive. Hence, that option is out.

Unless I'm sure that E. coli, Salmonella or other bacteria do not contaminate the raw meats that are to be serve to the felines, I'll do it. It's the same with raw egg yolks.

What are your views on this?

It depends where you are.... Nobody will know your country's food issues better than yourself.... I would suggest looking into your country's public health website for that...

I am from Brasil, it is in the tropics, not Asia, and I would have no problem at all feedind a raw diet for my kitties in there... I don't have a problem eating row food in there either... But again... it depends of where you are...
"tropics" is a wide wiiiidddddeeeee description

I am in the Philippines and my cats get raw meat once a week. I give them only beef though. Have not tried raw pork or chicken since they are very happy with what they are given now.
