I googled lynx point cats and a site came up with photos of "highland lynx" cats. Is "highland lynx" a legitimate breed? Does anyone know about this type of cat?

I found one website that said a Highland Lynx is the same as a Highlander, which is recognised my TICA.

With an African Jungle cat background, they wouldn't be accepted by CFA.

If you do a little more research I think you will find that the Highland Lynx was before the Highlander and the Highlander is just the TICA version of the cat.

The original cat was born at the Timberland Cattery in North Carolina and was originally registered under the REFR (rare and exotic felines registry)

you can see some pictures of my Highland Lynx "Odin" at the below link

I hate it when people use same names for different breeds or different names for same breed. It's so confusing. For example in central Europe British Longhairs are known as Highlander. My German import female is 'Highlander' according to her pedigree, had to explain it to the TICA people when I registered her to TICA. (She's a British Longhair, has nothing to do with the Highlander breed in TICA).
