Calling any SF/Bay Area people

I'll be in town in a couple of weeks... I won't be there long, but I figure a little get together with some of the TCS'ers there. I'll be there from the 16th through the 22nd (leaving that evening). So, maybe some sort of get together?

I'll have my new netbook with me (should be arriving tomorrow!!), and will be able to check email and the boards even while there. I'd be able to anyway, since my dad lets me use his computer, but I'd rather use my own.

So, any takers? I can't do Saturday, as I'm going to a wedding, but other than that, I'm open!

I am in Modesto but maybe we can meet you.
I have a sphynx kitten coming in that week and am not sure what day it will be yet.
She will either got to Sac or SFO.

Well, if she comes in to SFO, we can do something then... before or after... I've never 'met' (read: pet) a Sphinx before... but she'll probably be a little wigged out from the flight, so I'd understand if you didn't want to delay getting her home.

I'm a pretty firm believer in playing things by ear... despite the fact that the world around me LOVES schedules....

Where in the bay area are you going to?

My parents are in Hayward, so I'm pretty central... I'm driving down, preferably the coast again, and then staying with them... then I'm leaving the car with my dad and taking Amtrak home... I now live in an area where having a car isn't worth it if you don't make loads of money. I have friends all the way from Antioch to San Jose... oh, that reminds me, I need to email my former coworker and schedule our 'tea.' she'll love to hear all the gossip from the store...

I live fairly near SFO in South San Francisco. My mobility is a bit limited, due to caring for my very elderly Mother, but it's always nice to meet cat people.
Playing by ear is fine with me.

Of course I´´m not close to that area my friends BUT I can send you good vibes for can realize this meeting!...

I know San Mateo County very well.
I used to live in South San Francisco and San Bruno.
My husband used to wor at SFO.
My kitten still might ship to SFO.
That would be Sept 16th if she does.
I will be in Hayward this sunday to bad you wont be here.

I probably would have come down earlier, but the wedding I'm going to dictates when I visit... I also intend to come down more often as my parents are aging and mom doesn't cook (she used to be a phenomenal cook), and I'm contemplating doing some cooking to freeze, so they aren't eating things like hot pockets every night. it's not good for their health... anyway...

We'll all have to talk more...
