They make them little fellers pretty hearty in England.

I doubt that he was behind the car grille due to an accident; it's more likely that he crawled up from underneath the car in order to chew on wires and hoses. We have martens around here, and they're notorious for doing just that. They especially like Renaults and Toyotas. Anybody who has had a ferret can tell you about the magical attraction cables, wires, hoses, etc., hold for them.

I have never heard of a stoat. It looks like a ferret or mink to me. But cute.

I think we call them Ermine. They make coats out of them .
