My 6 year old male cat has a growth in his ear that we had just noticed. I'm not sure what it could be (possibly infected flea bite he kept scratching), he was just at the vet for an exam 1 month ago and the vets never saw anything unusual. We are bringing him to the vet tomorrow, but want a guess as what it could be so we know what to ask at the vet.

Awwww, poor kitty...It almost looks like a mole, but growing so fast. I hate to say this, but it could be a tumor, or maybe it's a cyst. Good thing you are getting it checked out ASAP, let us know what happens.

Excellent! Good news is such a relief in these cases.

Scratched his ear himself?

My cat doesnt like his ears touched, so if we were able to feel it i'm sure then we would have realized by the texture it was a scab. The vet was shocked at how it looked too turns out our other cat must have nabbed him and he was scratching at it and made it worse. Cream was put on an it looks fine now.
