I am very excited too
. Yay!!
From what I understand of the Portkey, I think it had to do with the rules of the competetion. With apperation and disapperations, normally it is done without a physical trigger. The Portkey, as a solid object, was used like a telephone wire sending a call, the portkey just sends a person. Plus the competetion was done as a separate thing from the school, so maybe it had it's own laws of magic attached to it.Originally posted by okeefecl
A very nerdy question coming up, for all the fan-girls....
So, today at work I was talking about the Harry Potter books with two other people who are also big fans. And this question came up...If no one can Apperate/Disapperate at Hogwarts, how did the final Portkey (the Cup) work in Book 4. Any opinions?
So have I. It was nice yesterday to have a discussion with two other big fans. We were debating all kinds of things-for instance, if Harry is somehow protected from detection by Voldemort when he's not at school, how come Hagrid was able to hunt him down on the island to give him his school letter?Originally posted by adymarie
Can you tell I have given this a lot of thought LOL!
Although that would be great, I don't think it's trueOriginally posted by hissy
Mike said he heard somewhere that other Potter movies were filmed while Dumbledore was alive- the author has 8 finished books about Harry Potter, (though not all published yet) so maybe Hollywood did do other Harry Potter movies all at once while the cast was still available?
