She only sits on my lap when...

Scratch is a weird girl. She never used to sit on my lap, yet suddenly this spring she started to. The thing is, she only sits on me when I'm sitting on my brother's futon in his room! She won't when I'm upstairs or in any other room. Squee is not allowed in my brother's room, so maybe it has something to do with Scratch wanting to "hang out" with me without Squee...?

I'm guessing she is considering this "quality time" with you since Squee isn't allowed in that room. She has you all to herself!

I have heard some people claiming that cats tend to become more affectionate as they get older. Has anyone else noticed this?

Tasha started letting us pet her just on our bed because that was where she was most comforable. She knew all the escape route and all the hiding places so she could make a quick get-a-way if need be
