We've all had those moments where a song we haven't heard in 15-20 years burrows into our senses out of nowhere and we can't get it out of our head. It would be cool if this took off as a community-participation thread, where we could have a running list of songs that we're obsessing over for the day.

Here's mine; I "rediscover" this every few years, and today's the day.

This morning I woke up singing "Baby Blue" by Badfinger. Have no idea why, but there it has been, in my head all morning.

What can I doo-oo-ooo-ooo-oo
what can I say-ay
'cept I want you by my si-ide!

Over the river and through the woods...
Funny you started this thread. I heard a song on the radio this morning that I hadn't heard in years!! While not really obscure, it definitely took me back. I have a lot of songs buried in the "wood work" so to speak.

Great thread!! I can't get Lionel Richie's "Hello" out of my head. Actually, the emo version/cover from AI a couple of years ago is what's stuck. I don't even watch AI, but I love David Cook's voice...

A couple of theese are probably as obscure as you can get, but it does bring back memories.

That's inspiring and depressing all at the same time. The mark of a good song, methinks.

I swear, it seems most every song ever made has been uploaded to YouTube. What a resource.
I stopped buying music off of the Internet and just stream songs off of it while at work. Sometimes the audio is a bit lacking in quality, but still worth it.

Oh, yes. The late 80's.
Fond memories. I absolutely love this song. Still do. And another good song from that time.....

Makes me happy everytime I hear it. Nostalgic for that time.

Those really weren't obscure. Wooly Bully was a chart topper as was Monster Mash and I remember them well. Slightly more obscure was 99 tears by Question Mark and the Mysterians and there were dozens of others of that era, as bands came and went within weeks in the 60's. BTW, Sam the Sham is still performing. http://www.samthesham.com/

wanders off singing - Hey there Little Red Ridinghood.....................
