I hadn't heard about this:

600 Dogs Seized from Kaufman Puppy Mill

I hadn't heard about, until I saw a basket full of puppies in the Assistant Director's office at our shelter. She's fostering a family of little puppies whose mother didn't have any more milk for them. Mama does everything for the puppies, except feed them, which Stephanie has to do on a regular time schedule.

Grrr, puppy mills make me sooooo angry!
As do kitten mills and ferret mills and... every kind of animal mill.

I applaud your friend for caring for the litter and the momma!
