I need to find a good moisturizer that has a good sunblock factor in it. I am starting to develop a few sunspots called melasma and I was also looking into lightening my spots. I saw my dermatologist and he prescribed me Tri Luna, but it is very expensive and can damage your skin because it does bleach it.

I was looking at Caudalie vinoperfect radiance kit where it is all natural and not as harmful as the Tri Luna. Has anyone tried this? Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Nuh uh...might give me away!
I just use Oil of Olay's, with SPF 30. I'm VERY fair-skinned, and it does work all day as a sunscreen. However, if you're constantly in direct sunlight, you'd be better off applying a separate sunblock.

Other than that, I dunno.

I use cetaphil daily moisturizer with SPF 15. I don't go in the sun during the day besides driving (sad, i know) so I don't need anything more...But I find that cetaphil doesn't contain many controvercial ingredients such as sodium laurel sufate or parabens. It is one of the few moisturizers without these...
I think you are better off getting a moisturizer and a sunblock separately. There are very good powdered sun blocks that are kind of like a finishing powder for your make up and I've heard that works very well.

I like Oil of Olay. IMO, the Japanese company DHC has some of the best moisturizing products on the market, but I'm not sure what they have in moisturizer with a sunscreen.

I also have Melasma...
The thing that worked the best for me was a combination of acids used with my night cream - glycolic acid (I use clinical care tune up 20%), and retinoic acid (I used Renova for a while, now I use ROC). Renova is VERY strong, and it will make you peel, but it does wonders for your skin. Make sure to not use close to your eyes, and use moisturizes over it, otherwise the peeling will be too much... The moisturiser doesn't really matter, as the cream is not absorbed... Olay isa great one. Since Glycolic acid is a liquid, that is the one I apply first, then retinol, then moisturizer. Start every other day, until your skin can take it every day.
It is essencial to use a good suscreen - I use clinique super city block 40 for day to day, and under make up, and Neutrogena 80 if I am going to be under direct light...

With Melasma the key is consitency - and you can treat your face for a year, but a day of sun can ruin all your efforts! so never leave the house without sunscreen!
