I just bought a shedding blade with small teeth on one side and bigger teeth on the other. I was wondering how to use it effectivly to get out as much hair as possible since I brush him about 3 times a week.. Thank you in advance!

Shedding blade?? Never heard of one for cats. I can only picture the equne version - fine and coarse teeth, and it bends around and the ends clipped together. I lead a sheltered life
My implements of torture.....er grooming......are an undercoat rake and a child sized plastic curry comb, Only one cat with long and very thick hair, the other kinda long haired cat gets a sipe or two with the curry comb I use on the horses.
