Safiya is almost 6 months now and has been shedding her kitten coat. I really like her contrast and especially her personality. She had a bad hot-spot under her neck and she seems to be prone to getting small scrapes so I haven't pursued a lot of kitten shows. She turns 8 months in October so I hope to get her into a few championship CFA shows after that.

What a gorgeous kitten!
I don't know anything about the breed standard, but she ought to be a winner on color alone.

Yeah, I like her. She is not perfect, having a few brownish spots instead of completely silver tabby. But she is my very first show kitten produced from my cattery, so it's a good start.

I dislike taking photos of silvers, the contrast just never comes out right

She's a very pretty girl, congratulations

Yes, and that is the closest I could come to getting her to stay still. What a crazy butt.

Silvers come out better against the darker colors so it doesn't "reflect". She is a very nice girl and hope she does well in championship and earns grand points.

What a pretty girl with beautiful coloring!
I had a flash of a dream last night about Maus that I can't remember, LOL.

Pretty girl, good luck with her at the shows!

Take pictures of silvers with a dark blue background and you won't get the wash out effect.

Tried to catch her against a dark chair. Half the pics were blurry even on sports speed. The orange traingle is her toy, and hers alone. If the other cats try and touch it they get growled at. She fetches with it better than any dog, and every single morning we wake up to her dropping it on our chest and MEOWING til we throw it.

Here is a short video I took of her playing with her triangle. I have no idea how she is going to act when the triangle finally gives up the ghost. It has now been her toy since early June and it's looking pretty sad.

I just got an update on the kitten I sent back East to show - against a very competitive showing of Maus she managed:

She was second highest scoring Mau kitten, made an allbreed final, and was specifically mentioned by two other judges as having just missed their final..
