Hi, we have rescued this poor cat who was tortured, abandoned and left for dead - we are trying to raise funds for her rehabilitation, please read her story...

The bottom quarter of her tail was cut off and her front left foot was injured in a callous and cruel attack, before she was dumped at a take away food store. For months, she limped painfully about the car park at peak hour waiting for customers to throw out their left overâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s, before being rescued by a WLPA carer. Her broken leg was so badly damaged that the only solution was amputation.

Now she is in need of a special name...

In order to raise desperately needed to funds to pay for her expensive surgery and post-operative care (as well as her desexing, microchipping and vaccination before we can find her a loving home), we are auctioning the full naming rights of this young kitty on ebay!

The winning bidder will receive not only the full naming rights but an A4 certificate signed by The World League For Protection Of Animals, containing her information along with your name. You will also be provided with a receipt for your payment; this of course is entirely tax deductible (Australia) so you really have nothing to lose! 100% of funds raised will go directly toward her vet bills. Please have a heart and consider bidding to reserve the rights to name her for life.

To view her full story with pictures please visit our ebay listing here: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWAX:IT

or if you would like to make a one-off donation for her rehabilitation you can visit our website www.wlpa.org (see 'donate' button on upper right side of screen). All donations we raise over the next 8 days will go towards her operation and recovery.

Thank you for caring

that poor little baby
I'm so glad you could help her

I'd like to remind everyone of rule #5
5. Solicitations – TheCatSite.com does not encourage or promote solicitation of money from our members. We will help in every way possible with our knowledge and support, but as many of us have multi-cat households and work with local rescue groups, monetary support is not always possible to causes or people we do not personally know. Members are allowed one posting in the SOS forum for each organization. Repeated postings for the same cause or organization will be deleted.

The needs of rescue workers are great and we recognize this fact. To care for multiple cats, find suitable homes, good vet care, food, etc. is costly. From time to time you will see some posts come up to ask for donations for a cause. It is YOUR responsibility to check out these solicitors to the best of your ability. More often, you will see pleas from individuals asking for money to be sent directly to them to assist with veterinary bills. Some come up with slick websites, others just have heartwrenching stories. In each of these cases, the poster is allowed ONE thread, to be placed in Cats SOS.

In either case, if you feel compelled to donate money ask for references, phone numbers, call around the area and find out if this is a legitimate cause or a scam. For personal pleas, get the veterinarianâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s contact information and send money directly to the veterinarian to help with bills for that particular cat. If that information is not available, you have the answer if the plea is legitimate or a scam.

Be very careful before you send any money: no matter how effective the plea is, check it out first before opening your wallet.
