This is one behaviour which I have no clue at all!! My cat, GuaiGuai, likes to drink from a running faucet. At time, he would use both his paws "digging" in the sink, just like what he would do in the litter box after using it. After digging for about 5 seconds, then he would leave the sink. This behaviour usually happens when he does not want to drink but the faucet is running. I just turned on my Drinkwell today. So he would "dig" on the floor next to the fountain.

Does anyone know why my GuaiGuai "digs" next to the running water? FYI, GuaiGuai is 4 years old, male, and neutered.

Thanks. Jean

lol! What a great mental picture

Maybe he's saying "I'm done" with the water? I had a cat that used to dig next to her food bowl when either she didnt like the food, or she was "saving it for later".

btw your kitties are GORGEOUS
