Well, Sweet Pea when back to the TNR group to be adopted out. She will be great for a forever family, and I think she would love kids. She's just a young one herself. They brought another one for me. She doesnt have a name, and is about 5-6 months old already. Of course, she is a calico, so now I have 3 calicos in the room. Poor thing looks so lost. I hope she relaxes some. I have been able to pet her and she hasn't shown any aggression towards me. I know she has a lot of potential, and she is so beautiful. One side of her face is black and the other is white, with an orange strip between the two. It is a perfectly straight line down the center of her face. Her orange has tabby stripes showing thru. So pretty. So now comes the long part of getting her socialized. wish me luck.

Mary, you're such an expert now, you'll have no trouble I'm sure!

So - are we going to get pictures of the new beauty? And really - three calicos? I can't imagine having one! We've got enough cattitude in this home without any!

I will get some pics in a few days. You are so right. 3 calico. As the lady from the TNR group said. it goes against nature of have 3 tcalicos together. She hasn't gotten out of the litter box yet, but her whiskers have gone from going backwards to curving out. So I think she will be fine. I really enjoy socializing them, getting them ready for a new home. It's amazing to think that 5 years ago I had never had a cat, nor did i like them. Things do change.

Gary and I had never had a cat either. Our "cat career" started with what we thought was a feral - turned out to be a stray - in 2001. Have no idea off-hand how many we've TNR'd, rescued & adopted out and/or fostered in these past 8 years. But we've got seven living with us - and he hated cats! When one adopts you - they sure know how to win you over, don't they? Then we turn around and learn how to win them over.
