Yah I'll watch em......

I'll take a peek for it next time I'm out.

DH & I went to "Julie and Julia" last week; I loved it, and he thought it was really good, too. I'm predicting another Oscar for Meryl Streep; she was absolutely wonderful.

I saw Sunshine cleaning last night at the movies. Has that been released in the cinemas in US? It was pretty average.

I saw the preview for Julie & Julia and after reading Cattybird's reccomendation have definitely put it on my must see list.

I'm pretty sure it comes out on DVD toward the end of the month here. I don't remember hearing much about it when it was in theatres, although I recognize the titles (possible one of the more limited release ones that we don't get much here in smaller cities, but mostly in Toronto).

The last movie I saw in theatres was Time Traveler's Wife. Went to see it on the first showing Friday. It was OK, but the book was just too dense (600 pages) to fit into less than 2 hours, which made the story feel a little shallow/contrived.

We watched 17 Again on DVD last night. I enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting much, we were just looking for something easy to watch after a long, hot day. It had quite a few laughs and didn't feel too much like a repeat of the same old storyline we've seen in other similar-themed movies.

Just saw Julia & Julie today and I thought it was very cute.

Before that it was Harry Potter and Public Enemy, both of which I loved.

The most recent new release DVD's I've seen were Benjamin Button (pretty good), He's Just Not That Into You (good for what it was), and Quarantine (pretty disappointing).

Two more new ones I've recently seen:

A Haunting in Connecticut - Wicked creepy movie, to me anyways. It made me jump a bunch of times, and was overall pretty good. I didn't think it was going to be as good as it was.

The Last House on the Left - We watched this last night, and I really like it. There are a couple scenes that I would've preferred they skipped, but I think that's because we watched the unrated version. But I really liked it.

Both of these movies kept my interest the entire time, which says a lot for me, because I'm usually doing something else (Nintendo DS) while watching movies.

I love these types of movies, and I love this one! But I got to say, you NEED to like these types of movies. If I am thinking of the right movie it had some really funny script lines in it. Overall great slasher flick if you like these types of movies.

TowelHead was good. It was realistic about a little Middle Eastern girl with an overbearing father. She ends up doing some bad teenage girl things because her father is so strict and she has no one to talk to about the bad things happening to her. I rarely find myself connecting with movie characters (probably because I watch horror movies all the time lol) but I really felt for this little girl.

Last house of the left was sort of good. I am a firm believer if you are going to put rape in a movie, it better be a super duper awesome movie. I can watch anything, but to me, sexual assult is crossing the line. It would have been a really good movie if that scene was left out OR they actually did some crazy revenge thing that was so out of this world. I hate rape in movies, it’s uncalled for.

Transformers 2 was awesome!! Of course Meagan Fox was bending over everything and had a slow motion running scene LOL but it was a great flick!

Next movie I see tonight is District 9, I am so excited!! I heard it’s awesome!

Last movie I saw in the theater was Transformers 2.

We rented some movies. We watched Coraline which was ok. This movie called Quarantine which was too blair witch project for me. Now we have I love you, man and hope that's funny.

Yes I totally agree! That was a very disturbing scene, and the movie would have been just as good if they left it out. That was one of the scenes that I would have preferred they left out, along with the very very end of it.

Two new ones I've seen recently:

Hotel for Dogs - Loved this movie. It was incredibly cute, and kept my attention the whole movie.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas - Excellent movie. It's a drama-type, about the Holocaust. Boy's father is a soldier (I think he's more than that, but I never figured out exactly what he was) and the boy gets moved to a house outside the concentration camps. He befriends a boy inside the camp. I can't tell you the whole thing, don't want to spoil it.

Seen both, they are indeed very good.

Tonight I watched State of Play: pretty decent
I've also watched: Blood and Bone: it was ok....not hugely griping.
Labour Pains: it was good
Xmen Origins: pretty good.

I loved the Boy in striped pyjamas

I saw Inglorious basterds at the movies recently and loved it to bits, again

In a theater we saw District 9. Bleh! We were unimpressed.

On DVD it was Fast and Furious, loved it! Love the cars and the racing and Vin Diesel

Hahaha I was entirely disappointed with Fast and Furious. It was cheesy and there were TONS of plot holes. The only thing I liked was the driving and Vin. I also think it was dumb that they had Michelle Rodriguez on the cover because she was only in the movie for 5 minutes.

I adored District 9, saw it twice, it was funnier the second time around.

I saw The Ugly Truth in theaters and thought it was pretty adorable, I love Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl.
