Way to hot to cook anything here as well so I made a Banana, Mango and Strawberry Smoothie.....this one wasn't exactly low-cal though because I made it with vanilla ice-cream and whole milk...
I normally make them with yogurt and soy milk, but hey a girl has got to splurge once in awhile.

Probably lamb chops - I have to go to the supermarket today to find something!

BBQ day today. EVERYTHING was grilled.

- Grilled corn on the cob with herb butter
- Grilled baby potatoes
- Grilled eggplant, asparagus and red peppers
- Grilled chicken thighs (marinated in red wine, garlic, lots of cracked black pepper and salt)

YUMYUMYUM!

For us, probably something with ham, but it's been a wacky day and I haven't had a chance to do the thinking, so I don't know what yet.

ETA: The brainwave came as I was going upstairs with no idea, just a need to get on with it -- and now the Ham and Noodle Casserole is in the oven creating great aromas, and we will get to consume it in probably about 10 minutes. It was warm today, and still so when that thought came to me, but it just resonated, so that's what we're having.

we had meatloaf burgers (hamburger and italian sausage mixed) with carmelized onion, bacon and swiss cheese. Totally fattening, but oh so yummy!

It's off to the gym after work and then leftovers of sausages that hubby cooked on his new BBQ the other evening together with fresh vegetables.

you got to use the new BBQ!

Tonight is pasta and pesto, with smoked sausages 'cos that's all hubby can find in the fridge to cook with it.

Another extremely hot and humid day here so I am thinking something light. A nice green salad, with some shredded cheese and a little smoked salmon crumbled on-top. I think it would go nicely with maybe some greek dressing. For dessert I already have a sliced mango chilling in the fridge..

Time for something from the water. Prawns, maybe stirfried with garlic and veggies, or maybe on the BBQ. Either way, there's Jasmine Rice to reheat that will go well with them, and tons of cherry tomatoes that will figure in there somewhere. Dessert will incorporate blueberries somehow.

I just had to come see what you were having Fran. Tonight is mow the lawn night (2 hour job right after work) so for us it will be something quick - probably a salad loaded down with tomatoes, pine nuts, almonds, walnuts and pecans.

Aargh! We should have so much lawn! Rob usually figures about an hour for both sides of the property, less if our neighbour's hasn't grown much -- she doesn't water or fertilize at all.

That salad sounds like just the ticket, though.

ETA: I probably would have waited until later to visit the thread again, except there you were, and I had to look, too.

I'm done cooking. We went for a late lunch at the local Mexican place. Tomorrow morning will be Dunkin egg white flatbreads.
