Hi, I was just wondering what we should do about the pad of his one foot. It is cut open and bleeding. He doesn't seem to be in any pain but when he starts racing around it opens and bleeds everywhere. Does he need oitment or to go to the vet? Please help.

You should probably have the vet look at it, because of where it is located and the fact that it is open to bacterial infection (cat litter) and other stuff the cat walks upon. The cat may need antibiotics as well, depending on the size of the cut.

He is going in tomorrow for his yearly shots. I will show it to the vet in case he needs some antibiotics.

The bleeding has stopped but if he runs around it will start again.

Thanks
