Anyone know why? I've had this problem on my board as well, but it pops up most of the time on my board.. just sometimes it doesnt. We came to the conclusion of cookies, or a glich.. but on this board I have never had one pm box alert since I've been here. I always have to just go check. And I do have that option check marked in my preferences
Anyone else have this problem?

Tell me about it, Sicy..... I wish it did too. The email notification for PMs does work though. I have my email checking for new messages every 2 minutes.

Cool, that could work too
thanks.

Another question... just curious do you guys use the merge thread function here? Personally I love it, and use it all the time.. especially because people tend to start topics about the same subjects... or... instead of replying to an existing thread, said person starts new topic.

We try to!
Each forum has a mod and the other mods pitch in as well. But as you know, this isn't a very glamorous job at time, and most do it in their spare time. We do try and keep up with it as much as we can.

Cool

How I do it (tell me to shutup if you dont care lol) is I always change the subject to read "MERGED --> [thread title #1] + [thread title #2] "

That way the posters dont become confused like "hey where'd my thread go??"

When we merge threads together, we normally don't change the title. We do however notify the author of the thread that is being merged in, so they aren't looking everywhere for it!

Thanks.
