We've been playing Guess Miss Kitty's Age again (she's the stray that found us). When we found her she was quite stunted like allot of the ferals around here, and she did grow both in height and length after she came to live with us (and in width, but that is another issue
).

So my guess is that she was 2 or 3 when we found here and is now (21/2 years later) 4 or 5ish. Any thoughts?

When will a cat not grow any more even with good nutrition?

I can't imagine she was under 1 when she found us, she was too big to be THAT young.

I think some breeds like maine coons can still grow to maturity up to 4/5 yrs. But a regular kitty cat is grown after about a 1. Fiona was small (at about 2yrs old she weighed 6 pds and is petite in height) when i got her and she gained 2 more pounds since i've had her(about 3 yrs now) but length and such are the same.

Yes, my 20 pound "orange guy", Taz, isn't a Maine Coon, but he's does a pretty good impersonation

He didn't stop growing until he was at least 3 years old.

For a while, I wondered if he was going to stop growing

I think she's got too much attitude to be only 2 or 3
She's got the tough old broad act down too well! But she's definitely just a domestic mid-length hair cat
(It's not short but it's not long!)
