Coincidence or Karma?

I was just sitting here reading threads and the "What song is going through your mind right now" thread made me think of Raul Malo, of course. I became a fan when hubby was playing a video of the Mavericks and can't seem to get enough of his wonderful voice. Anyway, I decided to visit his website for a moment, checked out his tour dates and lo and behold, he is going to be in Toronto on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at a venue where you go for dinner and a show (seats 200). My hubby says what are the chances that I would happen to check his website today and see that! I have booked tickets online and shall hold my breath until I get a call back to confirm they have openings for the show. Wish me luck.

I've never heard of him. I checked him out at Google. He's quite good!

Got everything for you, Linda!

Got the call. They have a table for 10 persons with space for 4 more people if we don't mind joining another group (which, of course we don't - hubby is a very sociable human and loves meeting new people) so I have booked it. The table is 10 feet from the stage. I am so excited. I have to go on the website now to see the menu and what I would like for dinner before the show.

It is this coming Wednesday, August 12 Rigel.

It was fantastic. We were 2 tables from the stage. He had no band, just him and his guitar. The venue was a small dinner club (200 people) and he was amazing. Hubby went to the car after the show to get my CD for him to autograph. There were about a dozen of us waiting to meet him, he came to the lobby, shook hands with each of us, signed an autograph and let us take a picture with him. Yes, I have my picture taken with him and I'll download it tomorrow.

Isn't it great when things work out so perfectly?
