Ok so at the Cat Show today I saw these toys they were trying to sell for $1. Well I looked at them and thought, yknow what, I could make these SO easily. So I went off to the craft store and bought a couple supplies.

Fabric = $2
Yarn = .79
Catnip = $1

First I cut the fabric into 4 even pieces:

Then I put a small amount of catnip in each square and folded it up and tied it with yarn:

Simple as that!!

No more than 1 minute after I was done, Zoey had to come and bury her face in them LOL

Those look great! Zoey really looks like she loves them!

(A small word of caution, be careful with string and yarn. Zoey could eat it and it can get tangled up in a cat's intestines and cause a blockage. If that happens it has to be surgically removed.
) A public service announcement brought to you by The Cat Site.

Yeah I know.. I cut them really really short and tied them in double knots. Zoey has eaten everything from my thyroid pills to her feathers
I have never seen her throw up or seen them in her poop so I'm totally baffled. I've since completely cat proofed the house
and I'm really careful.

My cat at my parents house actually ate thread once and A LOT of it.. it was comin out her butt and everything. The vet told us the same thing you did so ya I know the hazaards involved!

I didn't know what a hazard it posed until I came here and saw someone post about it!
That's cool.. I should have said something about it as well.

I mean my cats would have torn it apart in minutes (probably) just wondering if the toy lasted with Zooey?

Ohh hehe. Well actually it is still in tact. She has so many toys that she's actually ignoring that one at the moment LOL.
