An introduction, maybe?

Here's a fellow who who was in some band in the '60's. The band was Fairport Convention. Yeah, I don't recall it either.

But he's a "folksy" rocker, with a long repertoire. I understand he has a new "lifetime compilation" out. But if you don't know him, I'd like to introduce him to you.

His name is Richard Thompson, and if you've ever heard anything by him, it's likely this one. It's been picked up by a lot of country/bluegrass bands. Note the tight writing.

I love Richard Thompson. You Have good taste.
I never heard of him till I met hubby and found a bunch of RT disks in his collection.
Very good song writer. Like you said a bit folky but I think that is because he does acoustic well.
