My nick name means cat lady in Japanese, in case you were wondering.
We live out in the country and my husband and I are more cat people than we are dog people. We do have one English bulldog and a lot of cats that are mostly outdoors but a few like to come inside every now and again.
My husband and brother-in-law have a long standing tradition of naming cats after Star Trek characters so if the names are weird, that's why. lol
Keiko- female. White with black spots. She can be very friendly and loving but is very independent. Spends most of her time in the woods hunting. Was never once afraid of humans. When we first found her and her brother and sisters the litter was old enough to walk and she came charging up to greet us.
Savek- female. Grey tabby. Can be very skittish and shy but is very loving when she wants to be. Keiko's daughter.
Vash- female. white with grey spots. One of the friendliest and sweetest cats you'll every meet. Also Keiko's daughter
Chakotey- Male. White with black spots. Not just friendly but VERY friendly. He'll run from seventy five yards away if he thinks you might pet him. And if you don't he won't leave you alone untlil you go away. lol
Lal- Black. We found her outside one Christmas eve. We fed her and she stuck around for a few weeks and then left. For the next year she would leave for a few weeks and then come back for a little until she finally decided to stick around full time.
Most people who meet her agree, she is the most dog-like cat they've ever seen. It's hard to explain there's just something about the way she acts that reminds you of a puppy.
Alexander- Our Alpha Male. Long haired grey. Keiko's brother. His nickname is the wolf kitty because he kinda resembles a wolf. He has a longer nose than most cats and his fur isn't like a normal long hair. It's just a bit shorter and kind of frizzy, not very soft. He keeps the stray tom cats away.
Uhura- Female. Black. She's our oldest and very sweet. I think she's about seven. And defiantly the Alpha female.
Add to that nine kittens that Vash and Savek just had.
I've been a cat person all my life and I think they are so interesting and each one has such a distinct personality.
I look forward to meeting and getting to know all of you and your furry friends. =^.^=
