I had someone bring me a very young 5-7 day old kitten last week, things were going well until last night when insteed of his normal hard yellow poop he out out yellow tinted mucus with a little blood. Today has been much the same, mucus poop, darker yellow.

I don't want to raise an alarm, I've never fostered such a young kitten alone, I had queens helping before but its just me now.

I'm going to try diluting the formula, I've been searching some more info and thats all I've come across.

I have no experience with kittens that young, but I wanted to send you a note to wish you well.

As you know, there are members here with a lot of experience; I'm sure one of them will have some advice for you.

cutting the formula seems to have helped a little. I gave him a fresh bath to clean up the pee he made all over his self. He even cuddled up to my chest and fell asleep for the first time.

Orsin is doing better, still not gaining weight but little to no blood in the feces and its almost normal color. still not solid but it doesn't resemble coccidia poop any more. I cut the formula by half more water, and started Albon two days ago. its been a trip raising such a young kitten without a Queen to assist.

its still diarrhea, but its normal kitten yellow again. Still bleeding every now and then, he's lost an ounce of weight. Still eating though not as much as he should. I've started adding Nutri-cal to the diet, and I'd like to try can food, or turkey in a few days if he starts doing better.
