I have three cats and they're my kids and I love them to death. My middle child, Moose, sleeps next to my head every night and if he has to barf a hairball at night, that's where he does it.
There's nothing quite like rolling over onto a cold, wet blob of hair and food at 2 in the morning.

It soaks into the sheets, mattress pad and mattress, which I clean right away, while the culprit sits and watches.

Over the river and through the woods...
Yeah...there is a reason I don't let most of my cats sleep with me anymore. It's one thing to step in it first thing in the morning (still not fun but it wakes you up real quick!)...it's another thing for them to puke/hairball in your hair in the middle of the night. (been there..done that). So now, loving times is BEFORE bed!

Me too Rm - it wakes me right up!

I got up last night to turn off the TV and stepped on something squishy. Totally grossed out but not awake enough to deal with it I rubbed my foot on a pair of hubby's dirty shorts (ha ha!) and went back to bed. I got up this morning, it's a bit of stuffing the cats pulled out of the box spring
. Silly me!

I've had my share of doggy-diarrhoea moments too though, and people wonder why I'm not squeamish about changing my son's icky diapers!! They don't have enough pets!

Oh dear
there is a dead mouse strewn all over our bedroom, maybe that wasn't fluff I stepped on
