We have an eight day old litter - 4 boys and a girl. The girl outweighs the boys by over 50 grams!
One of the boys has a marked preference for nursing on his side or on his back... when i see him I try to flip him onto his tummy, but he usually ends up flipping back. His weight is fine, and appears healthy... should I just let him nurse as he likes? (I have read that when bottle feeding it is important to keep them on their tummies. Momma cat hasn't read the same forum...)
The runt nurses normally, and is gaining. His problem is that he keeps confusing his brother's head for one of Momma's nipples.
