In the snow!!!!
I shot it with a camera

One of my sunflowers had broken, so I cut the head off and hung it up in hopes that the birds would enjoy it. To my surprise, I found a squirrel sitting smack in the middle of my hanging basket of verbeena just munching away.

Haha! I love the title of this thread! That is an adorable picture, those little guys are sneaky!

(I thought that you actually shot a squirrel- I thought that there was another person besides me that has shot a squirrel on this site
. Let me explain: we shoot red squirrels up north because they bite off the "goods" of the grey and sometimes black squirrels so they can't reproduce... It's a new thing they're doing, and it's devastating up there so it needs to be controlled.)

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Squirrels are awesome...I actually touched one once (it fell out of a tree and kind of ricocheted off my shoulder).

Adorable!

A few years ago I found some baby squirrels by a tree in someones yard in my neighborhood, they actually let me pick them up and hold them! It was so awesome.....normally squirrels just run away. I also fed them frosted mini wheats
I doubt they are suppose to eat those. But it's the only food I had in my backpack at the time!
Hopefully they didn't die later on.

Grain is reasonably normal for them...the sugar, not so much, but there's some sugar in fruit, which they sometimes eat...I don't think it would poison them, although they might have gotten some cavities from it (fortunately, rodent teeth keep growing kind of like a fingernail, so I guess they'd just have to chew the cavity off).

Great idea letting the wildlife eat the sunflower. That squirrel sure looked like he was enjoying it.

Mismaris: OMG! Is that for real? I'm going to look that up... that sounds so bizarre.
