Morning All!!

Today's question is:

Do you watch reality based television shows?

I have to say no on this one, I think I might have watched a few episodes of Hell's Kitchen the first season it was on, and maybe one or two episodes of American Idol but I just don't seem to be able to get into these types of shows.

Yes, I do. Prefer Dancing With the Stars & So You Think You Can Dance.

Have no desire for shows like Survivor, Big Brother, Bachelor...

Ummm yes
I watch Hells Kitchen, Iron Chef, Biggest Loser, the Real Housewives of Orange county, I think if I went on we'd be here all day. Some I don't watch religiously but I'll watch if they are on.

The channel I watch constantly says over and over "not reality, but actuality".

I watch Hell's Kitchen, Chopped, and America's got Talent. I usually only watch Idol through the auditions, then it gets boring

Do sports count as reality-based shows? If so, DH has them on most of the time.
I watch the dance shows, and Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and we both like Wipeout.

I will only watch them if it is the only thing on TV for me at the time. (I only have basic cable...you know a select few channels that I pick up for free
)

If I do catch one on it's usually Suvivor or Hells Kitchen.

I have no taste at all for dating reality shows.

The only one I watch is Dancing With The Stars. I watched Survivor when it first started, but it's gone on a bit too long IMHO.

I think some shows are like a train wreck - you can't help but watch it. I don't religiously watch the shows or know their schedule on tv, but if they are on and nothing else is then I'll tune in for a bit.

It would be great if creators could come up with something else besides a new reality series.

The only show I watch with any regularity on television, is Red Wings hockey. I suppose it's based in reality, lol! Once in a while, I'll turn on Animal Planet when I'm in the basement, doing laundry or on my treadmill.

Short answer: NO

When the reality shows first started appearing we watched a few episodes to "see what everyone's on about". The whole concept turns me off. The fact that the players are supposedly ordinary people and it's supposedly unscripted and filmed in real time does not make it "reality".

Nope. Don't watch much TV at all. I waste my time here.

And I would actually rather watch paint dry than watch any reality show.

Nope, I'd rather watch tv to ESCAPE reality, lol! I did watch Iron Chef and such when we had FoodNetwork, but working in a commercial kitchen, I'm not even sure that it counts as reality, lol!
