Problem with "Your Cats" pages???

I'm having trouble attaching pictures to my cats' biography pages. At first I thought that the size was too big, but I reduced it down to 49 kb and am still having problems...

It reported issue with Albert after I made his and now that I'm making Cleo's, it's reporting hers too.

It said to report it to the administrator...but I'm not sure who that would be, lol.

Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?

The administrator would be Anne, I think. How are you trying to attach the images? If you go through the process step-by-step we may be able to help you. I just added one of my cats and didn't have any problems.

There isn't much of a step by step. I went to the "Your Cats" tab up above, then clicked on "Add a New Cat Page". I filled in all the boxes and then came to the "upload photo" button on the bottom of the page that also says you can't have a photo greater than 200 kb. I edited and edited and the smallest I came up with was 49 kb...

*EDIT* When I try to add a picture, this is what it gives me:

There was an error creating your cats image directory. Please contact the Administrators to notify them of the issue.

IHS - I'm having the exact same problem, I'm thinking there is an issue maybe?

I definitely agree... I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I hate being the lone troublemaker.

What format did you use to save your image? JPEG, GIF, PSD? Try doing a "Save for Web". That worked well for me.

Mine are all JPEG images... I don't know if I have the "save for web" option, but I'll look...

Nope, no "save for web" option. I have bitmap, JPEG, gif, tiff and png.

I'm on a Mac, so don't know exactly how a PC with Windows is set up. My "Save for Web" is in the drop-down menu under "file". The same place as "save" or "save as". Once you click on that it opens a window where you can tell it to save as JPEG, GIF, etc. Does this help any?

I guess my PC doesn't have that option.

I can tell you that is not the problem because I'm also having an issue All my photos are jpeg.

I don't know what to tell you. I just uploaded images to two new cat pages without any problems.

Send a PM to Anne. She may have better answers for you, or will at least be able to check into it from the TCS end.

Meanwhile send me your JPGs. I will see if I can alter them and post them as one of my cats which should shed a lot of light on the problem.

Can you post the pics you are trying to use?

Anne is the site founder and should NOT be bothered with day-to-day site problems. Please look at the box General Forums under Cat Forums. At the bottom of the box you will find a link to Forum Leaders. Clicking on that will give you the names of who you should contact for each of the forums. Maybe it is time to bring KatKwiz back?

The problem is with the Cat pages - not in a forum, thus the question about who to contact.

Are you talking about Your Cats on TCS tool bar?

To test Your Cats, I just did a test page with an uploaded photo of Isis....
it worked fine.

I have issues on TCS with certain things since I got Vista. What is your operating system?

I'm thinking their is an issue with our user level & that is why you guys can change your photos but we can't.

I am using vista.

I can assure everyone I know how to reduce an image properly & the one I just tried to upload was 169kbs (photobucket takes me FOREVER to upload but an unedited version is: http://i654.photobucket.com/albums/u...s/DSC00827.jpg)
