i think i saw a pixie bob cat today

tomorrow i will upload some pictures if i see it again

anyway, what unique features do they have ?? so i can know if it is

it also rolled over a few times, would it let me rub its belly ? or would it attack me if i did ? some cats i see when walking down the street let me stroke their belly

also, i read pixie bob cats are quite rare

also, i think i have seen a male tortoiseshell cat, which are also quite rare i heard,

i will also upload pictures of that

i find that chubby cats are much more friendlier and let you rub them more,
and are all chubby cats longhaired breeds?

okay heres the pictures

after reading the description of a pixie bob they seem friendly, but this one attacked me lightly when i went to rub his belly, and when i tried to pick him up

its either a pixie bob, bengal, domestic tabby colour, or nothing,

it has a weird mark around it ear, like it cut it on something ? both ears too

double click each picture for better view

AmberTheBobCat has pixie bobs.

Tabby is the color. It is generally agreed that unless you have official papers, cats are considered domestic short/mid/long hairs.

a pixie bob wouldn't have that tail either.
To the above post: This kitty could have papers - it does have a collar and tag, so it does have an owner.

That's the thing about Domestics, there is no standard look. They can look anyway they like

Perhaps the ear marks are from being outside and fighting with other cats.

IMO In the US, I would say very low... People who spend that kind of $$$ in a pedigree cat usually keep them inside... Not only that, but the great majority of breeders have contracts requiring the kitty to be kept inside. Unless it runs away... IMO the great majority will be domestic.

I agree...most cats you run into are a mixture of many breeds and "domestic short hair" or "domestic long hair" covers everything. The only time I've really met a purebred cat was in someone's home. That doesn't mean that purebreds don't get out by mistake and wander around of course.

Whatever he is, he is gorgeous!
I LOVE his markings! He may have some bobcat in him, but if that was the case he probably wouldn't have a full tail. Four of my indoor cats (and a lot of the barn cats) are decendents from a barn cat/bob cat mating and they were born with either half a tail, or no tail at all.

He's...Pink.

Or am I just going nuts?

Either way...Gorgeous animal!
I would be tempted to steal if he didn't have a collar or tags!!

He looks like a domestic short-hair tabby to me too. His markings reminds me of a cat my friend had several years ago. As for not wanting you to touch his tummy, not all cats like that. For example, Rusty, my orange girl, will not let DH rub her tummy. But she lets me occasionally.

But he really is a pretty boy anyway

The thing wrapped around his feet in several pictures is called a tail. One thing about Pixie Bobs...they don't have one, or at least not much of one.

As has been mentioned in other threads, this cat could pass easily for an African Wildcat. Why? Because that is the genetic source of all domestic cats, and they were (still are, the few that still exist) what we'd call "classic tabbies."

So your cat has a definite wild heritage, but perhaps not as exotic as you might have thought.

At our shelter, we DO occasionally get cats we're sure had papers. We had a gorgeous snowshoe guy this week that I suspect someone paid good money for. Of course, when they brought him in to us, neutered and declawed, complaining the kid was suddenly allergic to him, they didn't bring us any papers!

IMO there is something weird about this thread.... Do you know the owners of this cat? Or you just see him around? Are you trying to take him home? What's going on?
