Eew! I just opened a can of that yesterday but didn't see/smell anything out of the ordinary.. then again Genever ate some and proceeded to puke a few minutes later.

However, she has a puking problem, the vet had said to give her 1/4 of a 10mg Pepcid every day but i could stop if she seemed ok, and I hadn't given her any Pepcid for the past 3 days so that may be why she puked.. (wow, can we say run-on sentence??
)

Anyway, she doesn't like canned food all that much so I give her only 1/3 of a can (more if she eats it all). I will check numbers and dates when I get home and toss the leftovers if need be...

Thanks for the post.

edit- actually, now that i looked more closely, I use the 3 oz. cans so it's probably ok. i only have the one can left of that, it's not her fave flavor...

edit again- ok NOW i see that old thread.. i am slow, sorry. The NB can is going down the garbage disposal. Ick.

Hello,

Please know that we have not had any issues regarding mold in our products. We specifically had this batch tested for mold, and it came back negative and safe to feed. Furthermore, after looking into this matter, we have found the black specs on the food to be oxidized pea hulls. Again, all of our products are inspected from start to finish and are safe to feed.

Sincerely,

Well, Genever never really liked that flavor too much anyway, I had several cans and every once in a while would open one and try again, and she'd eat a bit and then never come back to it. That one I got rid of was actually the last one. Now to try to get rid of the fishy flavors of Wellness by mixing them with Turkey... (turkey is her favorite, don't know why i ever bother to buy other brands/flavors..)
