Prissy is at it again. First she chases off all the cats in the neighborhood while Loudmouth is preggy, now she's taken over the older litter!

Ever since loudmouth had her recent litter, I've had to listen to very loud and demanding calls from Priss as she calls the kitten to her newest "kill". The last 3 times it has been a pair of my husband's socks, a scrunchie, and a stuffed mouse toy. My normally very quiet and undemanding kitty is now walking through the house with a kill in her mouth, wailing for the 3 amigas to come to her. And the dangdest thing is that they DO. And they'll come watch her as she demonstrates how to kill a scrunchie.
At least they're learning survival skills?

AND she grooms them now too. I don't get it. Once they hit about 7 weeks old she sort of lost interest in them. (Likely because they were big enough to swarm her with all that kitten energy). She wouldn't have anything to do with them, really, other than to share a food dish or just ignore them. Now she grooms them and purrs as they cuddle up next to her.

But it all ends as soon as the new litter starts crying. No matter WHAT she's doing, she's right at the door, all 4 paws under it, trying to pull open the door to get in there to the new litter. They've been introduced. I felt it was necessary in case she got in there by acident some day. (she's a ninja) ANd as soon as she realized those were new babies, she started purring and trying to clean them. Mama was fine until Prissy tried to pick one up. (Prissy the baby thief strikes again.)

All in all, I guess the social structure of the house has changed. Again. ANd somehow I don't think I'm anywhere close to the top.

Been there! My parent's place ws another place suffering from "testosterone overload"! Even in a house full of girls, I'm still not at the top! How does that happen?
