A friend and I were talking about this a couple of weeks ago. She said that she noticed her cats tended to be left-pawed whereas I noticed that mine were right-pawed.

Now I know why we had the discrepancy.

Most of her cats are male; most of mine are female.

I guess my kitties don't want to fit into the mold.
I have all females and most of them tend to use their left paws more than their right. The one male I had was still a kitten and he mostly used both paws at once.

Check out this thread. It's a very limited study, but the results seem to contradict the study you referred to.
