Test results

PRA and PK-Def are inherited diseases that can show up in Abyssinians and therefore Ocicats, at the moment it's mainly Europe, New Zealand and Australia testing their cats. I got the girls PRA and PK-Def test results back from UC Davis today.

Ashia and Malika both tested:

PRA
N/N - Normal, cat does not have PRA mutation

PK-Def
N/N - no copies of PK deficiency, cat is normal

Thanks I was very impressed with UC Davis, I got the results quickly even from such a distance.

UC Davisis 1 hour and 30 minutes north of me.
One of the vets I see came from there and wa in the top 10% of his class.
They do HCM scans there and I talked to them about a kidney transplant with Stripe and Yoshi.
Coco is to old for that.
