I have a little female kitten Mei mei, who is about 8 week old now. Ever since about 2 weeks ago, she startred using her tongue to circle around and digged into the joint of Coffee (a male kitten now about 13 weeks old) and tried sucking milk from him. I think she knows there is no milk but Coffee ends up having wet spots all the time around the joints of his front legs and waist. Coffee doesn't seem to bother as much as I and sometimes even pur when Mei mei does that. Mei mei couldn't stop doing these and would chase after him whenever she wants to suck something. In the middle of night when Coffee sleeps near me, I would hear the sucking sound that often woke me up.
I adopted Mei mei when she was 4 weeks old because her owner just wanted to get rid of her. I know she propably has the need to suck and this may be a way of affection. Should I try to stop her? I just worried Coffee might lose hair from the digging and sucking. Also from the human perspectives since Coffee is not her mommy, I don't want her to go on with this behavior forever. Should I try to change her and how?
