My husbands helper has a cat that apparently just gave birth. I say apparently because she was meowing a lot and then disappeared outside. They live about 15 miles from us so I don't know how much of this is fact. I tried to tell him today that those poor babies are probably flea infested, may have eye infections or health problems and that he really needs to find where she took them and get them in and cared for. Of course it went in one ear and out the other. All he could say was how ticked off his mom was (he is 17) that the cat had kittens. I told them months ago that she was in heat... Not that it makes mine any better, but she was already preggo when we got her and I know the signs. I tried and tried to warn them about letting her out, but the sounds she was making in heat just irritated them to death so they let her out. What can I do? I have 9 cats currently including the kittens, and CAN'T take anymore in, especially knowing that these new babies are probably all covered in fleas. Should I go and ask if it is okay to hunt them down myself? I don't want to tick these people off, but I do want these babies to be cared for....ANY advice at all is appreciated.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Hopefully there arent so very many eye-infections and fleas, as these kittens are born from a homecat...
That is the most bright side... No wonder mom wanted out to deliver outside. People of this sort, not wanting to take any responsibility save the everyday food and litter(?), would surely kill off the kittens...
Cat moms are usually very wise in such circumstances.
Yes, I think if you want anything done, the best best is you do it yourself. Preferably with their agreement. Make sure the mom is also neutered before you return her back "home".
