My friend's cat stopped eating on Sunday and was hiding under the bed. Her vet took an x-ray and found that she has a foreign object in her stomach. She is in surgery today. Please send vibes and prayers. Sasha is only 2 years old.

For Sasha!
I am sure she will be just fine once the object is removed from her stomach!
Did they say what the object is?

Sasha was scheduled for surgery today but now her vet is saying she isn't sure if Sasha swallowed a foreign object or if she came into contact with something toxic. They're giving her fluids and waiting to see if her condition improves. Please keep the vibes coming. Sasha is a beauty with owl-like eyes and a kitler mustache.

You got it, more
What did they see on the X-ray, why did they change their mind?
Sorry for the questions, but that has me confused.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
for Sasha. I wonder what caused them to change their opinion? Whatever it is, I hope it is treatable and kitty pulls through quickly!

Sasha's vet and a radiologist have concluded that what appeared to be a foreign object in her stomach was actually damage caused by a toxic substance (probably lawn chemicals because she snuck outside). She has been on an IV at the pet hospital. They are sending her home today as there has been some improvement in her digestive tract. She will be on antacids and probiotics. Please keep sending vibes and prayers for Sasha because she still isn't doing so great.

I'm not sure what they saw on the x-ray. They aren't sure either. The vet decided to try to avoid surgery if possible.

It seems they concluded that it wasn't a foreign object but was severe damage to her stomach caused by a toxic substance.
