Since we adopt 'Bastian he's been in a frightened "what the heck am I doing here" mode. Last week he started greeting us in the morning asking for his food to be put down. Lots of figure eights around our legs and purring and trilling.

Last night some time he got into bed with us for the first time. My fiancee woke up to find him curled up next to him and purring his head off.

'Bastian pretty much lives in the master bedroom and bath because Boots hates him and won't stop trying to get him, We allow Sam to come in, he's mellow and wants to make friends though 'Bastian wants nothing to do with it yet. It's pretty neat to watch each step that 'Bastian makes as he figures out this is home now.

He's also stopped growling and hissing at the dogs...mostly, Diddles is still a little rambunctious for him.

All and all things are going well for him.

yep and spoiled already. He's the only one that gets wet food because we are concerned about his hydration and his weight, he was pretty thin when we brought him home.

We also just upgraded his bed, bought him this silly soft squishy house so that he doesn't have to use the hard crate to hide in when he's feeling insecure. It was pretty funny when I put it down. I set it in the place where the crate was, he took one look at it, flicked his tail and went and got on the bed!

We are so glad that we went with the impulse and adopted him, he just LOVES
my fiancee and will make silly moves to get his attention. This old boy is going to be well loved here.

Glad to know that your pet is finally lowering its guard... Eventually you will have a happy time with him...
