Anyone doing this? I rent and my apartment does have screens but they're not secure. Therefore I only crack open the windows. I do miss breezy fresh air and in a couple months, the air will be nice and cool and I'd like to open my windows again. Any tips on how to properly securely tape the screens? If not tape, any other suggestions? Again, I rent so I have limitations on how much I can do.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Taping window screens

I feel your pain! This is one of the hardest things to take care of. You can possibly get some sort of chicken wire and use a staple gun to secure to the inside of the window right over the screen area, if your window well is wood that is. I use duct tape to keep the screens attached to the window well. But if you need to secure the actual screen material from popping out of its holder (which alot of the cheap screens pop out easy) than you may want to go with the chicken wire route.

I have a friend who is a used appliance repair man, and he gives me the wire oven racks from unrepaiable kitchen ranges. A cup hook on either side of the window to hang it from keeps the cats from tearing up or pushing out my screens, and makes it easy to remove if I want to open or close the window, The only catch is if the window happens to be wider than thirty inchs.
Well for now I'm not worried about the cats scratching up the screen itself. Since the windows are opened every so slightly, the cats haven't had a chance to get into a optimal scratching position. My concern is their weight pushing the screens loose and having them tumble out the window.
