So if I want to enter my HHP kitten in a show (CFA) and she will be a week shy of five months on the day of the show, do I enter her in kitten or HHP?

Thanks!!
I think I'm going to enter the Zanesville show
It is 3 1/2 hours from me but guys that have one of my puppies live in Columbus...maybe I can talk them into going with me
Maybe maybe maybe!!! I'm very excited!!!!! I show their boy so they owe me one
It is interesting juggling dog show weekends and cat show weekends, but the cat shows are so novel to me I want to give them some priority right now....

Do you need help filling the entry form out?
What day is the show on?
Thanks!! Entries close 7/26 and there is an online entry form. If I know her date of birth, can I put that even though HHP? B/c it is 3/6/09. It says no kittens under 4 months and they might ask for proof...should I just bring her rescue contract paperwork w/ her DOB on it? She looks pretty "big" so I doubt they'd think she was too young
Just want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row since this will be a first!!

Thanks!! I will do that! Now I have to plan my curtaining
I told my husband all about it to prepare him for the rigmarole (he already gives me a hard time with all the dog show paraphernalia and he said he has a license to make a little bit of "fun" of me for showing our cat..whatever..men!)...LOL.....unfortunately I guess he'll have to stay home with the dogs a lot
but am hoping my Columbus guys will feel like going with me to my FIRST EVER kitty show! (as an exhibitor that is)

Who knows you might like showng cats better then dogs.
Any idea for the cage curtais?
You know how men are. lol
I want to go to a dog show but my husband thinks I will come back with a dog.
He said I can get another sphynx but no dogs and he is a dog person.
I looked the show up ypu are going to.
I know who a few of the judges are.

MAYBE!!!!!!!!
I am SO looking forward to a new adventure..it makes me really happy!
Dog shows are GREAT too....wow....what kind of dog do you and/or your husband like? How funny..guess he got used to the cats, huh?! My husband does love cats a lot...way more a cat person than dog person, but he tolerates the dogs. Heck, it MIGHT be easier to get another cat than I think haha......Are the judges considered good/respectable? Do cat shows get "political"???

Yes cat shows can get VERY political!
I guess the top cats start to get recognized? In dog shows we have magazines like the Canine Chronicle and Showsight where all the top dogs are advertised with their pro-handlers and this helps them get "seen" and then of course they are campaigned big time, so seen everywhere and judges know who they are...and thus they get rewarded..often for who's on the high end of the lead,..or so it appears...been there, done that (experienced being the butt of that, that is..)....how is it in cat shows? There's no actual "handling",? or??? Person who puts cat in ring cage is like dog pro handler? or? Tell me more....thanks!!

Yes they are political.
My husband does not want a dog because he says it will pee on our hardwood floor.
One of the judges is the president of the CFA and Cleo got 7th place from her as a open.
The other judge ha a CFA group I am.
Dont worry to much about the judges HHP is different then purebred.

True
I guess I am a LITTLE worried (worried is probably the wrong word)..about the flashy longhair hhp's doing better than my relatively plain little shorthair..but I could be wrong! She certainly has personality plus! And gorgeous amber eyes
But yes, this is for fun and learning and I plan to have lots of both! That's neat to know about the judges!! wow!

When I show I always ask my mentor what judges like sphynx.
Believe it or not a lot do not like sphynx.
Can you post a picture of your cat again?

Of course I think her attentive "boxy" little cheeks/muzzle in that pic are just to die for and that her flashy white makes her really stand out...but I know it is pretty common actually, LOL. She has a nice long tail too! (for now)
