Wow, that is extensive...... Is it because you don't have any native snake species? (I can't remember if my friend said there were any natives ones... she mentioned seeing them in a zoo, but as for touching them, my house was her first experience )

We don't even have them in the zoo, that I know of.

I think it is because of our native animals that we cannot have them - there are some endangered ones that we cannot risk having killed.

I just asked her on chat.... I was wrong, she had only seen skinks NOT snakes in the zoos... I guess ALL snakes are illegal in NZ.....

I would definately be wondering where the skin came from at your friends then, especially since there is no native snakes at all.

I promise not to send any snakes to NZ

My SS was great last year.
She sent way more stuff then I expected.
Her homemade cookies were very good.

Ahh but that's the joy of being a secret elf. I'm sure the elves don't mind!

I can hardly wait! The sooner I know my SS the better, but I can and will begin shopping before then...especially if I have to wait until September...

Oh, besides jewelry, I am planning to send rocks, too. Pretty rocks.

I'm so excited! Do most people send everything in one box or in separate mailings? I am PREPARED TO SHOP!

Most send it all in one box, but some do send more than one. I had two early gifts from my sneaky SS last year

The only time I ever participated in a Secret Santa deal I drew the name of a person who had not yet arrived to work with us. That made it really hard to know what kind of gift to give. This sounds like it would be a lot more fun.

Well, you have a head start in knowing that we all like cats, and you can see where we live, what cats we have, etc. Also, there is always a "hints" thread to give you some ideas.

Wow! This Secret Santa thing seems like so much fun...I will try and participate this year, and it will be my first too!

I imagine it would help that everyone here likes cats. That way, we know that we can't go wrong if we get cat toys and treats, since we can click on your cats' profiles and see what their favorite treats and toys are. I am excited to be able to participate this year. I think it will be fun to use the secret ways to find out what my SS really likes.
