This morning was the first time Marlow made physical contact. Twelve weeks of socializing for this: Marlow, this week has been walking circles around Becky marking everything within a ten foot radius and coming very close and getting a whiff. This morning, while employing the "don't pay him any mind" strategy, he snuck in and sniffed her foot, making contact. She wishes she had not been wearing socks so she could feel his wet nose. This evening she's going barefoot.

Her question to me was: why does he dart in, out and around marking everthing around her? Deck rail ballisters, table and chair legs. He also has, at times, rolled over for her.

There's no place like home
He's feeling more secure in that environment and is marking out his territory. And by marking, I assume that he is just mashing his face against things?

Yes, the face. After his TNR I would hope he doesn't do much of the "other".
