I would have to say that so far here in my area of Ontario the weather has not been cooperating at all. Tons of rain, and cool temperatures have really put a damper on the tourist this year. It is still busy but nothing like it usually is.

It is kind of disappointing since this is the first summer in years and years that I haven't worked mega amounts of hours and I had been hoping to do some of the things I missed out on during that time.

I am starting to think we're going to have to call this summer due to rain.

Hopefully August will be warmer, and drier...

Oh I hear ya! We pretty much have the same weather. It doesn't feel like summer yet to me. This week was nice, but still cool enough that it feels more like a really nice spring than summer, or like a New Zealand summer with the very changeable weather.
Hopefully August will roll in with some sorchers so I can get to the beach at least twice. I want to feel like it's summertime!

hey now, quit yer complaining about the cool weather! I don't have a/c and I am loving this cool summer

This has actually been a very nice summer for me, I am not working Saturdays at the restaurant so I have a free day to do what I want and have been spending time with my parents, going to their campsite and other places. This Sat we're going to the Hamburger Festival
I also actually have extra money to do these things as well

I feel like we were cheated on Summer. It's almost over too. I don't mind cooler weather but the rain was just too much. DH loves to BBQ and we couldn't with all the rain. Last year we started in late April. The tomatoes are taking off though.

Summer? What summer? Been cool, but not a lot of rain. Saturday is only expected to be in the 60's. A couple nights ago, I got up for work and it was in the upper 40's!! I have been enjoying the cooler weather too, great for sleeping. However, with the lack of hot humid days, we haven't had any really good thunderstorms and I really miss that, because I love severe thunderstorms. Our bobcats are still eating like crazy. Normally this time of year they cut way back and get real lazy, but not this year. Hmmm, must be global cooling

True the cool weather wouldn't be at all bad I am not a big fan of hot humid weather either, if it was at least nice a sunny. However with all the rain we have been having I am starting to contemplate building an ark..

It wasn't too bad till this month started. Now we've broken the record for so many straight days of triple digits. The kids will be heading back to school soon which means the end of summer camp. Can't end soon enough, jr high kids are a lot to handle. On the bright side with so much sun i got a killer tan

I personally prefer it cool. I do not go out in the sun much to hubby's dismay. He thinks I should go out and tan but that's not my thing. I much prefer to sit in the shade with a good book.

With my hot flashes, I can only say thank goodness we don't have hot, muggy weather. I have no problem with slipping on a little light jacket or long sleeve top but there is a limit to how much I can take off without scaring little children and animals.

Same here Susan..... and we all know how "nice" damp, cool weather is on those of us with health issues that are weather sensitive.

I know its safe for me to say that it's been a summer from the devil himself.... normally my high pain days are in the "change of season" periods.....the summer is the exception.

So it bloody sucks LOL. We haven't been able to do much this summer because of that and it sure does put a damper on a persons spirits.

Bring on the heat...... a dry heat that is

Please send your rain this way!!

We are working on being 4 inches down-no significant rain since the 2nd weekend of June.
Lawns are crispy-I've been watering the flower beds/trees/shrubs up to 8 hours/day.
So the cool weather really helps with stopping the evaporation.

Summer is ok working two jobs well I don't know. Again like last year comtemplating really cutting back on the landscaping as my stuff doesn't look as well as I like.
Will make a decision in end of August as I think I have a good chance of picking up alot more hours at the other job.

Have a good "farmers tan" going though.....

And the mosquitos/deer flies haven't been bad at all!

Thus far, quite lovely. June is usually rainy, and we had the driest one in years -- gorgeous. There were a few slightly rainy days in early July, but once that cleared away, it's been beautiful. I wouldn't want it any warmer than we're getting this week -- mid-20s by the water, 30-ish inland (celsius). But it cools quite satisfactorily at night, so sleeping isn't a problem.
