Just throwing some feelers out there, seeing how much interest this sort of news generates.

I clicked on that link and, immediately, got a warning my computer is infected, I am running a scan now. I guess it could be a coincidence but just wanted to warn people.

Yeah, it's one of those pop-ups that shows you a dummy directory of your "infected" hard drive, and prompts you to purchase their software to clean it up. I got it the first time I clicked on it as well. Irritating, but harmless.

EDIT: Harmless, as long as you don't start clicking "ok" to things. Just "x" out of it.

I have my ad block turned on and don't get popup windows and ads unless I whitelist a site. I didn't get any warnings.
