depends on how many..when I cook them, it is usually for a good 30 minutes just to make sure they cook all the way....what else are you having?? I love to make deviled eggs!

30 minutes?????!!
No way ! If you're boiling them just boil them for a few minutes to keep the insides soft! For hard boiled eggs I usually boil them for about 10 minutes.

Thanks Sicycat and Rock&Fluff'smom! I am just cooking 2 of them. I very seldom actually eat eggs, but for some reason, I just wanted to today. It is just regular soft boiled eggs with toast! lol Kind of like a breakfast, even though it is almost 1:30! Oh well. Thanks again

YUP! 3 minutes should do it! Boy, I NEVER wanted those soft boiled eggs EVER--until--I was pregnant! Those were the ONLY things that sounded good to me, and would stay down!
--Haven't eaten any since my DD was born 27 years ago!!

Thanks Lhezza,
Usually I never eat eggs....especially not hardboiled! Now those ones are gross! lol Or in restaurants, I never eat eggs there either. Poached ones, I don't think I could eat, and NEVER sunny side up....can we say ugh?????
Thanks for everyone replying so fast! I'm gonna go eat now

nah sunny side up are only cooked on one side and kind of raw-ish on the top....disgusting. My ex bf used to eat them like that until I started cooking them and I wouldn't let him eat them like that! I just shudder when I see ppl having them in a restaurant or something. It's one thing my mom never made us when we were little was sunny side up (at least not that I can remember!). At least softboiled ones are a bit different than the sunny side up.

Anyways, my soft boiled eggs ended up being kind of medium boiled eggs
. I think I cooked them just a little bit too long. Do you put them in cold water after you take them out of the boiling water or is that just for hard boiled eggs for like egg salad and deviled eggs and all that?

Rock&Fluff'smom, my mom used to make us soft-boiled eggs all the time when we were little. We used to make toast, cut it into strips, and dunk the strips into the yolk of the egg, with a bit of salt and pepper. It was pretty good at the time. I haven't had it for years!

Are cravings for eggs any sign of anything??? Lately, I have been wanting eggs for some reason. No, I'm not pregnant, there is not a chance I am pregnant, and as far as I know, I am not lacking anything in my body....just curious.

Thanks everyone!

But the raw-ish on top of sunny side up is the same as the rawness inside a soft boiled egg

Kind of but it doesn't seem as bad inside the egg rather than out on top of the egg!
