Hello everyone:

My kittens are 4 weeks old and they are being nursed by their mommy and I'm malso giving them some kitten formula. But they still look hungry, should I try giving them some solid food? I think it is too early, but I anted to ask the experts.

Thanks!

It wouldn't hurt to put a little canned food out, when Mom thinks they're ready she'll teach them to eat it, until then I'm sure she'll enjoy it herself.

My babies starting eating wet at 25 days of age--they didn't really get into dry for another week or so and even then only one or two had interest. I fed wet until until about 6.5 weeks and then forced into dry because of cost--5 kittens on kitten wet was costing a fortune.

Thank you both so much! I think I will wait a little more then, I tried giving them some wet food and dry food but they are not interested at all.
