I think this is a good variety of sounds. I like the combination of music and voices. The Radiohead and Shakira albums I mentioned have such varied instrumentation that I can focus on different sounds or combinations of sounds in each of the songs, hear them several times, and not get bored. It's like a landscape of sound - a soundscape.

2. You might also want some reading material. What would be your five Desert Island books? Why?
1. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (Lewis Carroll)
2. Through the Looking Glass (Lewis Carroll)
3. Labyrinths (Jorge Luis Borges)
4. Robot Visions (Isaac Asimov)

I think these are all books I can read over and over again and get something new from them each time. The stories are interesting and thought-provoking.

3. What else would you like to have with you to occupy your time and your mind? Maybe a computer - I'd finally learn how to program.

A journal, puzzles of some sort (my favorites are jigsaw and sudoku), pretty much anything that would help me learn. There are lots of things I dont know how to do- knit or crochet, sew, build things with tools, tie knots, fish, garden... dance

4. You'll also need food. If you could have only two or three foods and nothing else, what would you choose? Why?
1. Pizza! I love pizza!
2. Watermelon! It's my favorite fruit, and I'd need to eat fruits.
3. Salmon! It's good in so many ways- smoked, baked, raw, fried, grilled. Yum

5. If you could have one human companion, who would that be? Why?
My SO, Michael. He's so funny and smart, we wouldn't ever be bored.

6. If you came into a large sum of money -- an unexpected inheritance, a winning, whatever, but "set-you-up-for-life" big -- what would be the first four things you would do?
1. Buy a house. Not anything luxurious, just something practical.
2. Go on that European tour I've dreamed of going on
3. Use the rest to help animals either by donating it, or starting my own shelter/sanctuary. I guess if I bought a large property I could have my house and shelter in the same place.
4. Maybe, I'd go back to school to become a vet, but it would take so long and I've been in school so long already... so maybe that large sum of money would be enough to hire a couple of vets?

Housework is what I do to get my mind off of schoolwork!

I don't mind doing the housework, but there are many other things I'd rather do.

What's you favourite perfume It was "Still" by Jennifer Lopez, but I haven't seen it in stores lately. I looked up what was in it: white pepper, sandalwood, musk, pink freesia, honeysuckle and rose. I don't wear it daily though. For daily wear, I use a scented lotion by Bath & Body works called "Moonlight Path". That one is supposed to be lavendar, roses, violets and "musk"

Do you like shopping If I have money and a need for something, then I enjoy shopping very much. I tend to feel guilty if I buy luxury items. Usually, I wait for things to wear out and then I don't feel guilty about replacing them, possibly with something nicer.

You see a bundle of $$$. Do you keep it or hand it in...Now be honest!!

If it's a large amount I'd hand it in. If it was a small amount (less than $20), then I'd consider myself lucky!

Also Radiohead is one of my favorites.

I assume you have heard Thom Yorke's solo cd? I thought it was really good and am looking forward to anything he may do in future.

I have heard the Eraser, and I did like it. I think that if some of those songs were slipped into a Radiohead album, I wouldn't suspect that they were actually solo works. I just love the different layers of sound.

But if you mean real cooking, then I like to make enchiladas and Spanish rice from my mom's recipe. It tastes so good, but is very bad for you!

4. What is your favourite dish that someone else prepares for you? Who? I love my mom's "Albondigas." It's a meatball soup. She usually puts squash, potatoes, a little bit of rice and some carrots in there. I don't like the carrots so much. I think she also puts a little bit of tomato in the meatballs, but I'm not sure. I should get the recipe.

5. Either of those favourites might be a comfort food, or not. What is your favourite comfort food? Pot roast and gravy!

6. What is your favourite celebration food? Cake?

White cake with raspberry filling and whipped cream topping. I do like tamales at Christmas.

7. When people come to my table, I always ask first whether there are any allergies/sensitivities/likes/dislikes I should keep in mind. If you came to my home, what would your answer be?
Onions.

If I can get them down the hatch, I'll be fine but usually they don't get that far. I've had luck eating them in soups where they've maybe been cooked for a really long time.

8. Do you consider yourself adventurous where unfamiliar food is concerned?
Not at all. I like to stick to what I know.

9. What is your favourite meal of the day?
Dinner! I like dinner foods, and probably have a bigger dinner than I ought. I don't really like breakfast foods so much. Once in a while I crave breakfast foods, but it's usually at dinnertime.

I don't really have a lot of hobbies, I just don't feel I have the time to start working on something new right now I would love to spend some time camping, hiking, exercising, volunteering with a shelter or rescue, growing some veggies, but I just don't have the time.

A broken heart? I was cutting something as a teen and sliced off the tip of my finger. Luckily, my nail stopped me from cutting all the way through, but it was wide open and pretty yucky with the tip just hanging there. My parents thought it was just a cut and so I just put a bandaid on it.

It reattached without infection, but I feel only tingling there now.
