hi. about 2 months ago my kitty was on antibiotics for 14 days because i think she had a uti (was in litter box for long time, only peeing a little bit, and frequently). she has been better since the medicine... and even stopped pooping outside the box
(which she has done for the whole time i had her [4 years] up to this point and had never been able to fix, just thought it was her, and so did the vet). but i just saw a spot of pee that dripped off her yesterday onto the floor and it was pink...it was pink half way through her antiobiotic treatment and im thinking it just always has been pink. but she is peeing and pooing normal... i am going to call the vet tomorrow... any ideas?

She may need another round of antibiotics. My Patch is pre-disposed to infections, he just got over a UTI and now I started another session of antibiotics because he has a staph infection. Apparently 2 different type antibiotics are used. Clavamox cleared up his URI and now Baytril for the Staph infection. Good luck.

Sometimes it takes a long course of one antibiotic, then a quick change to another one for a long course, to completely wipe out a stubborn infection. This is true for people with sinus infections, too, by the way.
