Tonight as I was driving home I saw something bounding across the road, but it just didn't look like a squirrel so I slowed up. And low and behold it was a very very very cute kitten! I so wanted to jump out and hold the little one, but when I approached it ran off in the area of the office complex. I am really hoping that this little one is just on a nightly stroll and going to go home...but I don't usually see kittens that little all alone here. Here's to hoping tho...

Tho any ideas if I do cross pathes again? I had a situation last summer where I saw this beautiful gray and white cat that had a collar and everything. Everytime for over a month I passed her she would rub up against my legs and purr. I called the number on her tag but the person who answered swore that he had never owned a cat. I tried calling the humane society, but they were closed that day. I never saw her again after that day tho I think she was chased off by a black siamese. I don't want to repeat past mistakes.

I hope the kitten is safe. You might want to keep a little baggy of kitten chow in your purse just in case you run across the kitten again. Perhaps giving her a little food will allow her to let you rescue her. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

I've been noticing more and more cats lately and I am never quite sure whether they are strays or belong to any one of my many neighbors. Here at the apartment complex we aren't supposed to let our cats outside (but we're also supposed to declaw our cats so I think I am going to avoid bringing up rule violations to my landlords) but people do. I know people dump cats around here because we live right by two major parks. *sigh*
